Beaird Harris Appoints Paula Allgood as Managing Partner of its Certified Public Accounting Practice

Beaird Harris, a nationally recognized Certified Public Accounting and fee-only Wealth Management firm based in Dallas, TX, has announced that Paula Allgood, CPA, has transitioned to Managing Partner of the Firm’s Certified Public Accounting practice, a position formerly held by founder Pat Beaird, CPA, PFS, for the past 33 years. While Paula takes the helm of the CPA firm, Pat Beaird will remain actively engaged in the CPA firm and maintains his position as Managing Partner of the firm’s Wealth Management affiliate, Beaird Harris Wealth Management. 

Paula was appointed to the position with 30 years of experience at Beaird Harris. She has served as a key player on the Firm’s leadership team and has brought innovative solutions to develop the team, enhance the Firm’s infrastructure, and strengthen the Firm’s culture. Following Pat’s example in emergency medicine and dentistry, Paula broadened the Firm’s healthcare niche into plastic surgery, med spas, general surgery, OBGYN and family healthcare practices, and further expanded the Firm’s client base into other service-based organizations including law firms, start-ups, sales companies, and franchises. Paula is also active in the Firm’s Wealth Management practice and has a passion for helping clients achieve financial independence.

Paula started with the CPA firm as an intern while attending Texas A&M University and joined full-time upon graduation. Throughout her tenure, she has made an outstanding series of advancements within the organization. She became the Firm’s first female Partner in 2002 and a Vice President in 2005. She became an Investment Advisory Representative in 1996 and a Partner of Beaird Harris Wealth Management in 2012. Paula has been an instrumental contributor in building a unique culture in the public accounting industry where women can balance a successful career and home life, which is evident when you look at the Firm’s partners, who are more than 60% female.
